Sometimes i need silence.

It comes unasked,
in-convenience cum the rest i need.

I remain
in-side.
Thoughts and words enter eyes,
require
no speech.

Such days, to convert
from thought to spoken word
is toil
a burden
a death

quelches what fruit is rising
becomes
something like
an act abortive.

So i turn,
ignore,
be-come full of words and images

let them grow
or wait
in the belly of my brain.

If ever i am to bear
i must accept this silent food.

brie is tired of long blogs. too many people write them.
image: "Hagar in the desert" by Chagall. I found it on a site that gave it the caption, "Hagar Promised Blessings--Should She Believe?"
